Press-fitting the differential ring gear without heating can cause burrs and scratches, so heating it to about 100°C allows for smooth press-fitting. The heating device for the differential ring gear uses a 20 kW, 35 kHz induction heating power supply for approximately 3 kg of differential ring, and can heat it to the shrink-fit temperature in about 10 seconds. For a differential ring weighing about 5 kg, a 30 kW, 15 kHz induction heating power supply can also heat it to the shrink-fit temperature in approximately 10 seconds.
